High Efficiency Halogen and Incandescent Lamps

Incandescent lamps are notorious for their energy guzzling characteristics. Incandescent and
halogen lamps waste a lot of energy in invisible infrared radiation. Even though incandescent
lamps are inefficient light source they still find wide application in automobiles, homes and
factories because of their spectral distribution.
This Etherikio technology uses photon up-conversion materials to convert the low frequency
infrared photons to higher frequency visible light.
The photon up-conversion material could be coated close to the filament to convert part of the
emitted infrared radiation to visible light.
Using Photon Up-Conversion to Improve
Efficiency of Incandescent and Halogen Lamps
- Incandescent lamps are notorious energy guzzling.
- Incandescent and Halogen lamps are still widely used in
automobiles, homes and factories.
- Most energy from incandescent lamps is emitted as infrared
radiation which is invisible.
- Photon Up-Conversion materials convert invisible infrared
radiation to visible light.
